Cheryl Lynn Vauk is an American woman from Reno, Washoe County, Nevada, United States. On Valentine’s Day in 2025, she parked next to Janet Chavez at the parking lot of a McDonald’s in Reno.

Born and raised in California, USA, Chavez works a second job as a delivery driver for DoorDash. She was picking up a DoorDash order when she encountered Vauk in Reno.

Chavez said she was there to pick up a mobile order. Vauk later held up her middle finger so the California native used her cellphone to record the encounter.

“What are you going to say?” Chavez asked Vauk, who was getting closer.

“You’re a b—h,” Vauk said. “Are you illegal? Are you illegal?”
