Ruben Noel Sanchez, Rubel Sanchez convicted
Ruben Noel Sanchez, 29, and his brother Rubel Sanchez, 22, are residents of Youngstown, Ohio, United States. They were part of an organized drug trafficking group that shipped kilogram quantities of cocaine from Puerto Rico.
Between September 2022 and March 2024, Ruben Noel, Rubel and 15 others allegedly conspired to distribute cocaine in Youngstown and in various parts of Pennsylvania, USA including. Among the 17 suspects, only the two brothers are from Ohio.
Antonio Bernacett Rodriguez, 40, of Barceloneta, Puerto Rico and Jean Sanchez Tulla, 38, of Florida, Puerto Rico are the only ones from Puerto Rico. The other suspects are Ellwood City, Pennsylvania residents Amanda Kelosky, 38, Jamie Klinesmith, 40, Lindsay Ostrom, 38, and Thomas James Myers, 46; New Castle, Pennsylvania residents Daniel Feliciano, 48, Dorothy Myers, 42, Franchely Shymko Vazquez, 32, Glenn Samuels, 33, Kevin Tulla Torres, 29, Luciano Bratini Rivera, 37, Luis Rivera Otero, 38, and Markus Hobel, 35, and Rochester, Pennsylvania resident Roberto Muniz Sanchez, 46.
In March 2024, a federal jury in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania indicted the 17 suspects for violating federal narcotics, firearms and racketeering laws. On February 26, 2025, Senior United States District Judge Arthur J. Schwab imposed sentences on Ruben Noel and Rubel in federal court in Pittsburgh.
Rubel was sentenced to 10 years of prison for conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine. It will be followed by four years of supervised release.
Ruben was sentenced to 13 years in prison, which will be followed by four years of supervised release. He was convicted of conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine, possessing with intent to distribute fentanyl, heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine and possessing firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking.
