US Marshals arrest Baltimore, Maryland’s Unique Thorn in Massillon, Ohio

Unique Thorn, 26, of Baltimore, Maryland, United States has been arrested. She is accused of chasing Shy’Keema Turner down the street near the 700 block of East Preston Street in Johnston Square, Baltimore just before 6:00 p.m. on March 18, 2025.

A witness filmed the incident using a cellphone. Bystanders were cheering Thorn on until she allegedly shot Turner in the upper body.

Turner was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. She was 31.

Central District Homicide Arrest

In reference to the homicide that occurred in the Central District on March 18, 2025, investigators have arrested 26-year-old Unique Thorn of Baltimore.

Aside from reviewing the video of the incident, detectives also spoke with the involved parties. After the incident, Thorn allegedly fled Baltimore and hid in Massillon, Stark County, Ohio, USA.

On April 3, 2025, members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF), led by the U.S. Marshals, found Thorn at a residence in the 1700 block of Alpha Street Northwest in Massillon. She was arrested and booked into the Stark County Jail in Canton, Stark County.

Thorn will be extradited to Baltimore. She will be charged with first-degree murder.
