On the evening of May 30, 2025, Ramminger was caught on camera yelling insults and expletives at a woman who works at a shop near Ridge Route and Lake Forest drives in Lake Forest. Several Hispanic adults were inside the shop that evening.
“In America, we do not like you, okay?” Ramminger yelled at the woman while he pounded on the shop’s window. “We do not like you!”
While inebriated, Ramminger threatened the woman and her customers and called her a “piece of s–t” and an “a–hole”. He said, “You think you’re safe but you’re not going to be safe for soon. You might get away with this one but you’re going to have a f—–g problem.”
Ramminger encouraged the woman to come outside. He told her, “Listen, I will blast your face off.”
When the woman tried to Ramminger out the door, she dodged one of his swings and swiped back at him. That was when one of the men inside the shop stood up.
At around 6:47 p.m., the Lake Forest Police Services of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department received a call from the woman. The call was assigned as a low-priority call.
In less than 30 minutes, Orange County Sheriff’s Department deputies arrived at the woman’s shop. By then, Ramminger was no longer there.
A deputy was able to identify Ramminger from previous contact. At around 2:30 p.m. on June 4, 2025, he was taken into custody on suspicion of assault, battery, criminal threats and trespassing as well as charges related to hate crimes.
Aside from Lake Forest, Ramminger has lived in other parts of California including Laguna Hills and Murrietta. Previously known as El Toro, Lake Forest was incorporated as a city on December 20, 1991.
