The police department of Dallas, Texas, United States is currently investigating two separate, unrelated violent incidents that recently left two people dead in the city. Authorities are actively seeking information from the public to help identify the suspects and determine the motives behind a fatal stabbing on Peavy Road and a shooting on Walnut Street in the city.
Adrian Mendoza
The Dallas Police Department is investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred in the 2800 block of Peavy Road. Upon responding to the scene at around 7:17 a.m. on June 17, 2027, authorities discovered a victim who had been attacked by an acquaintance, identified as Adrian Mendoza, 29.
Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the location, and the victim was subsequently pronounced deceased. Mendoza was taken into custody at the scene and has been charged with murder.
Mendoza is currently being held at the Dallas County Jail in Dallas without bond. The victim’s identity and the motive behind the attack have not yet been released.

In a separate incident, the Dallas Police Department investigating a fatal shooting at a condominium complex courtyard in the 9800 block of Walnut Street. Officers responding to a gunfire call around 9:00 p.m. on June 16, 2026 discovered a woman suffering from a gunshot wound.
Paramedics transported the woman to a local hospital, where she died shortly after arrival. Investigators believe the victim was an innocent bystander who was caught in the crossfire of a shootout between unidentified suspects who fled the scene. The gunfire also damaged the complex building and at least two vehicles.
Authorities have not yet released the woman’s identity and details regarding the suspects, their relationship to one another and the motive remain unknown. Anyone with information about the shooting or the suspects is urged to contact the Dallas Police Department.
