Denmark currently has nine Miss Universe placements including the coronation of Victoria Kjær Theilvig. The country was represented in the international beauty pageant by one of the winners of Miss Danmark under the directorship of a Danish beauty committee between 1952 and 2000, Memborg Models from 2004 to 2013 and Lisa Lents between 2018 and 2024 and the winner of Face of Denmark from 2015 to 2016 under the directorship of Anders Hamilton de Voss and John Hamilton.
In 2025, Josh Yugen was the Miss Universe Denmark franchise holder. On March 21, 2026, Theilvig became the new franchise owner with Nikoline Uhrenholt Hansen as the national director.
The first standalone Miss Universe Denmark competition was held in 1986 and was won by Helena Christensen and the second one was held in 2019 and won by Katja Stokholm. Both were unplaced in Miss Universe.
Miss Universe Denmark 2026 contestants
On October 17, 2025, Monique Sonne was officially appointed Miss Universe Denmark 2025. She was crowned by Theilvig.
On August 9, 2026, Sonne’s successor will be crowned at the H15 Studio & Scene in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is the third standalone national beauty pageant that selects the country’s Miss Universe candidate.
There are five women competing for the Miss Universe Denmark 2026 crown. Here are the candidates:

Victoria Theilvig
On November 29, 2021, Theilvig competed against 32 other Miss Danmark 2021 candidates at Odd Fellow Palæet in Indre By, Copenhagen, Denmark. She was second runner-up to Johanne Grundt Hansen.
On September 17, 2022, Theilvig was officially appointed Miss Grand Denmark 2022. On October 25, 2022, she represented Denmark at Miss Grand International 2022, competed against 67 other candidates at the Sentul International Convention Center in West Java, Indonesia and finished in the Top 20.
On September 3, 2024, Theilvig was officially appointed Miss Universe Denmark 2024. On November 16, 2024, she represented Denmark at Miss Universe 2024 and competed against 124 other candidates at the Arena Ciudad de México (Arena CDMX) in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico and won the crown, making her the first Danish winner of the title.
On November 21, 2025, Theilvig crowned her successor Miss Universe 2025 Fatima Bosch of Mexico at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret. Nonthaburi, Thailand. A total of 118 candidates competed for the title including Sonne, who was unplaced.
