Ancaster, Ontario’s Aslihan Morali to represent Canada at Miss Universe 2026 in San Juan

Aslihan Morali competed in Miss Universe Canada twice. She represented Canada in the 16th edition of Miss Supranational and the 75th edition of Miss Universe.

Morali’s paternal grandparents planned a forced marriage for her at 17. Her parents refused to accept this fate and brought her to Canada.

As immigrants, Morali and her family relied on food banks when she moved to Canada as a teenager. As an adult, she founded a nonprofit called LEAP, which offers educational resources to refugees, joined and the Canadian organization Global Medic, which provides humanitarian assistance in the aftermath of natural disaster and armed conflicts. 

BIOGRAPHY

Morali is a Turkish-Canadian entrepreneur, philanthropist, photographer, video editor, website builder and beauty queen who uses the profits of her candle company Mias Modern and uses profits to fund scholarships for girls worldwide. She was born in Akçay, Edremit, Balıkesir Province, Turkiye and raised near the Aegean Sea.

Based in Ancaster, Ontario, Canada, Morali speaks English and Turkish. She is 5’8″ tall.

• On September 9, 2023, she competed against 17 other Miss International Canada 2023 candidates at the Capitol Theatre in Windsor, Ontario. She was second runner-up to Melanie Renaud.
• On August 15, 2024, she won Miss Supranational Canada 2025 at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
• In April 2025, she traveled to Hong Kong, China and to Cebu, Philippines.
• On June 27, 2025, she represented Canada at Miss Supranational 2025 and competed against 65 other candidates at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sacz, Malopolska, Poland. She was unplaced.
• On August 8, 2026, she competed against 34 other Miss Universe Canada 2026 at the St. Clair Centre for the Arts in Windsor and won the title.
• On November 24, 2026, she will represent Canada at Miss Universe 2026 and compete against 120 other candidates at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico, USA.
