Robert Callaway, 72, Eric Muesch, 46, and Alex Joseph Knoll, 37, were recently booked into the Mesa County Jail in Grand Junction, Mesa County, Colorado, United States. They are all residents of the municipality.

During the first week of August 2026, the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office conducted a three-day operation targeting suspects who use the internet to solicit children for sex and arrested five men including Callaway, Muesch and Knoll. The operation was conducted in collaboration with the Grand Junction Police Department, Fruita Police Department, Palisade Police Department, Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Colorado State Patrol, 21st Judicial District Attorney’s Office, and Homeland Security Investigations.

Robert Callaway

Eric Muesch

Muesch is an alumnus of Telluride High School in Telluride, San Miguel County, Colorado. He used to work as a pool and spa operator in Telluride.

Muesch’s grandfather Joseph F. Muesch was born in Denver, Colorado to John Joseph Muesch and Minnie Muesch. Joseph turned 75 on November 18, 2002 and died on July 29, 2003.

In 2009, Eric graduated from Delta-Montrose Technical College in Delta, Delta County, Colorado where he studied architectural drafting. On June 22, 2012, he and Tabitha Cooper got married.

After Eric’s recent arrest, he received a $100,000 personal recognizance bond. He was charged with soliciting for commercial sexual activity with a child, sexual assault on a child with a victim under 15 years old and at least four years difference in age and criminal attempt, which are all felonies. 

Alex Knoll

Aside from Grand Junction, Knoll has lived in other parts of Colorado including Leadville. On October 1, 2025, Knoll turned 37.

After Knoll’s recent arrest, he received a $100,000 cash-only bond. He was charged with human trafficking of a minor, sexual assault on a child with a victim under 15 years of age and at least four years difference in age, criminal attempt, internet luring of a child with intent of sexual contact or exploitation, internet sexual exploitation of a child, soliciting for commercial sexual activity with a child and pandering of a child to arrange commercial sexual activity.
