Ryan Kesh Mahimtura, 19, of Framingham, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States was with Henry Ward, 19, of Hudson, Middlesex County and a minor from Hudson on July 1, 2025. They were in a car that sped by on Bradford Street in Provincetown, Barnstable County, Massachusetts at around 10:00 p.m.
From the vehicle, the three teenagers allegedly yelled slurs against the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual and queer (LGBTQ) community at people that evening. One of the people was an entertainer who was able to get the vehicle’s license plate.
“It’s sad,” the entertainer told NBC10 Boston. “It’s heartbreaking. This town is known for being accepting and peaceful so to have something like that happen is strange.”
Mahimtura, Ward and the minor from Hudson were arrested by Provincetown Police Department officers. The three teenagers were each charged with two counts of disorderly conduct.
Gregory M. Hennick became the deputy chief of the Provincetown Police Department in April 2023 and its chief in March 2025. He is an alumnus of Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts.
This is not Mahimtura’s first arrest. At 3:15 a.m. on April 15, he was arrested in Southborough, Worcester, Massachusetts for failure to stop for police, negligent operation of motor vehicle, speeding/rate of speed exceeding posted limit and possession of marijuana one ounce or less.
Southborough is home to Virtusa Corporation, an information technology services company founded by Kris Canekeratne, Tushara Canekeratne, John Gillis and Sandy Gillis in 1996. The town is around 6.8 miles away from Hudson, around 7 miles away from Framingham and around 138.7 miles away from Provincetown.
