Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is navigating major transitions across his business and entertainment endeavors, taking full ownership of his apparel empire while gearing up for the conclusion of one of his biggest film franchises.

Born in Hayward, California, United States, Johnson turned 54 on May 2, 2026. He and Lauren Hashian will celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary on August 18, 2026.

Project Rock

In March 2016, Johnson and Under Armour launched the co-branded Project Rock line, which expanded rapidly into a multi-million-dollar athletic brand known for high-performance training gear, footwear, and high-profile marketing initiatives, including a multi-year partnership with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

In a statement obtained by WWD, Under Armour confirmed the conclusion of its partnership with Johnson. According to the company, the decision allows it to refocus on its core UA Train category. The company will wrap up the distribution of existing inventory through October 2026.

For Johnson and his business partner Dany Garcia, the separation marks a major milestone. Having retained full ownership of the Project Rock trademark, the duo will now retake full control of the brand as they search for a new manufacturing and distribution partner to produce future collections.

Johnson expressed deep gratitude to the Under Armour team while teasing a new era, stating that the brand is moving forward toward “new north stars, new partners, and with one intention in mind: deliver for the people.”

“Jumanji: Open World”

As Johnson bids Under Armour goodbye, he welcomes his fans to “Jumanji: Open World”. Directed by Jake Kasdan, the film will hit theaters in the U.S. on December 25, 2026.

Kasdan, Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg wrote the screenplay of the film, which serves as the final entry in the current trilogy following the massive box-office hits “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” in 2017 and “Jumanji: The Next Level” in 2019. The new installment flips the franchise’s core premise: instead of the players being sucked inside the video game console, the perilous game breaks free, spilling monsters, jungle obstacles, and digital avatars directly into the real world.

The core ensemble—featuring Johnson alongside Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan—returns for the grand finale. The cast also includes returning players Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, Ser’Darius Blain, Awkwafina, Nick Jonas, and Danny DeVito, with new additions Brittany O’Grady and Burn Gorman joining the chaos.

Whether dominating fitness apparel or leading blockbuster franchise send-offs, Johnson continues to redefine his executive and artistic footprint on a global scale.
