Zaire Manning

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, the fatal shooting of Imani was a case of mistaken identity. The department named Mustafa King, 26, Hamza Ruley, 24, and Zarie Manning, 21, as three of the four suspects involved in the shooting.

On the night of the crime, a Mazda carrying King, Ruley, Manning and another person pulled up to a group. The three men got out of the car and opened fire.

Aside from Imani, another woman, 55, and a man, 23, were injured in the gunfire. The three were not the intended victims of the suspects.

A total of 27 spent shell casings were found at the scene while the Mazda was later recovered in the 5700 block of Sansom Street in Philadelphia.

On May 14, 2026, the Philadelphia Police Department announced the arrest of Ruley. On May 19, 2026, officers with the department’s Homicide Fugitive Squad and the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force arrested Manning on the 6300 block of Greene Street in Germantown, Philadelphia.

Manning will be charged with murdering Imani and wounding two other people while King is still at large. Anyone with information about Ringgold’s murder is asked to contact the Philadelphia Police Department.
