Thomas Tuchel, 52, has confirmed the squad of England, United Kingdom for the 2026 Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) World Cup. It is the 23rd edition of the quadrennial international men’s soccer championship.

2026 World Cup
The 2026 World Cup will start on June 11, 2026 and end on July 19, 2026. This is the first time the tournament is hosted by three countries and the first time it includes 48 teams.
Canada, Mexico and the United States will jointly host the tournament. The venues include two cities in Canada, three cities in Mexico and 11 cities in the U.S.
Thoms Tuchel
Born in Krumbach, Günzburg, Swabia, Bavaria, Germany, Tuchel retired as a professional footballer due to a knee cartilage injury in 1998. In 2000, he started his career as a coach.
On October 16, 2024, Tuchel was announced as the head coach of the national football team of England. On January 1, 2025, he was officially appointed, making him the first German to hold the position.
On August 29, 2025, Tuchel turned 52. On 12 February 2026, it was announced that his contract with England was to be extended until after Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Euro 2028.
