Frank Kakuzo Kuwamura Sr. was a Japanese man born in 1891 who lived in Texas with his wife, Aurora "Dora" Gonzalez Rendon Kuwamura. They had six children. He died on January 29, 1960, in San Antonio, Texas. His great-grandson, Hayden, was arrested in 2022 for terroristic threats.

Juri Watanabe won the Miss Universe Japan 2021 title on September 22, 2021, in Tokyo, with Izumi Nishida as the runner-up. On August 25, 2022, she crowned Marybelen Sakamoto her successor. Watanabe also represented Japan at Miss Universe 2021, placing in the Top 16 among 79 contestants.
