Stefania Fernandez Krupij is Venezuela's sixth Miss Universe, crowned on August 23, 2009, amid 82 competitors. She succeeded Dayana Mendoza and made history as both predecessor and successor were from Venezuela. On August 23, 2010, she crowned Ximena Navarrete of Mexico, marking the end of her reign in Las Vegas.
