Karin Alia crowns Malkat HaYofi 2017 Rotem Rabi in Rishon LeZion
Karin Alia from Kiryat Gat won Malkat Hayofi 2016, with Yam Kaspers Anshel as second. In 2017, they crowned Rotem Rabi and Adar Gandelsman as Malkat Hayofi and Na’arat Israel respectively. Both Alia and Anshel later represented Israel in international competitions but did not place. Israel has one Miss Universe and one Miss World title.

Barbara Filipović crowns Miss Universe Croatia 2017 Shanaelle Petty in Zagreb
Barbara Filipović, a Zagreb native, won Miss Universe Croatia 2016 at 19 years old, competing in the Miss Universe 2016 pageant without placement. She later crowned Shanaelle Petty as her successor in 2017. Croatia has had two Miss Universe placements, with Sarah Ćosić and Elizabeta Burg previously achieving top finishes.
