Bogota, Colombia’s Pedro Jose Silva Ochoa to appear in Miami, Florida court
Pedro Jose "Tata" Silva Ochoa, extradited from Chile to the U.S., will appear in court in Miami on April 18, 2024. He, along with two others, kidnapped and drugged two U.S. soldiers in Colombia in 2020, subsequently used their cards, and left the country. The other suspects have been arrested and faced legal proceedings.

Laura Victoria Olascuaga Pinto won the Miss Universe Colombia 2020 title, representing Cartagena. On October 18, 2021, she crowned her successor, Valeria Ayos.
