The Central Visayas region in the Philippines comprises Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue, and the provinces of Bohol and Cebu. Lapu-Lapu's mayor, Junard "Ahong" Chan, has served since June 2019. In the May 2022 elections, Chan received 148,629 votes, securing his position amid an electorate of 245,395 registered voters.
