Soichiro Honda was a Japanese engineer and industrialist who founded Honda Motor Co., Ltd. He started his career in automotive repair and went on to produce motorized bicycles. Born in Shizuoka, he faced challenges but innovated in the industry, remaining involved with Honda until his death in 1991 at age 84.

Jorge Masvidal, 23, from Miami, secured his second World Victory Road win at "World Victory Road Presents: Sengoku 6" in Saitama, Japan on November 1, 2008. He defeated Tae Hyun Bang in a Sengoku Lightweight Grand Prix bout, improving his record to 16-3. Masvidal had earlier won the AFC Welterweight Championship in Florida, USA.
