Sushmita Sen is an Indian actor, model and beauty queen born in Hyderabad, India to Shubeer Sen and Subhra Sen. Shubeer is a former Indian Air Force wing commander and Subhra is a jewelry designer who owns a store in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Before becoming a beauty queen, Sushmita attended the Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute in New Delhi, India and St. Ann’s High School in Secunderabad, India. She is the first Miss Universe from India.
