Terrance Omar Plummer Jr. of Fayetteville, Cumberland County, North Carolina, United States has died. He was 22.
A military brat, Plummer had friends across the U.S. He was also known as Konomi.
Plummer was homeless. He was a sex worker.
In the early hours of May 30, 2010, Plummer was seen riding a late model silver or gray Volkswagen Beetle convertible about a half-mile from an abandoned apartment on Rhew Street in Bonnie Doone, Fayetteville. He was arguing with the driver, according to witnesses.
The driver was white. He looked like a soldier based on his dress, hair and stature, witnesses said.
At 8:40 a.m. on May 31, 2010, Fayetteville Police Department officers found Plummer dead inside the abandoned apartment on Rhew Street. He had been repeatedly stabbed and slashed.
Plummer had at least 31 wounds. These do not include a number of predominately shallower cuts on the back of his neck and a number of cuts on his left forearm.
The worst wounds were to Plummer’s chest. The weapon penetrated his lungs, which caused fatal hemorrhaging.
After spending two days at the crime scene, investigators developed forensic leads. However, none led them to the suspect.
