Richard D. “Dick” Mitchell was a native of Texas, United States and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He has two brothers namely Erwin Mitchell and Harold Mitchell and a sister named Lois Hammel.

  2. He served on the Tippecanoe Township Board for five years and on the North Webster / Tippecanoe Township Fire Department for more than 30 years.

  4. On May 15, 1954, he and Wilma May Mitchell got married in South Whitley, Cleveland Township, Whitley County.
