The 63rd edition of Miss Universe will take place at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida, United States on January 25, 2015. A total of 88 women are vying for the title as the successor of Miss Universe 2013 Gabriela Isler, 26, of Venezuela.

Based on the available videos, photos and information online, I and my colleague Erica Diaz Mendoza Lao scored the candidates separately then we combined our scores. Here are our predictions:

9th crown for the United States?

Representing the United States, Miriam Stevenson, Carol Morris, Linda Bement, Sylvia Hitchcock, Shawn Weatherly, Chelsi Smith, Brook Lee and Olivia Culpo won Miss Universe in 1954, in 1956, in 1960, in 1967, in 1980, in 1995, in 1997 and in 2012.
