The 65th edition of Miss Universe will take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on January 30, 2017. A total of 86 women are vying for the title as the successor of Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, 27, of the Philippines.

Based on the available videos, photos and information online, I and my colleague Erica Diaz Mendoza Lao scored the candidates separately then we combined our scores. Here are our predictions:

7th crown for Venezuela?

Representing Venezuela, Maritza Sayalero, Irene Saez, Barbara Palacios, Alicia Machado, Dayana Mendoza, Stefania Fernandez and Gabriela Isler won Miss Universe in 1979, in 1981, in 1986, in 1996, in 2008, in 2009 and in 2013, respectively. I predict that the country will win its ninth crown this year. Here are my Top 10 candidates:
