Currently filming “The Lego Movie Sequel,” Channing Tatum, 37, took to Instagram to share a joint statement he and Jenna Dewan, 37, released. The statement confirmed the breakup of the couple who got married in 2009.
“We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple,” the statement reads. “We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together. Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now.”
There is still no confirmation if either Tatum of Dewan is dating someone else. They reportedly have been turning to friends for support.
“Channing has been spending more time with his friends over the last couple months and Jenna, of course, has her close group of girlfriends that she’s been leaning on,” a source told People. “They’ll always be connected.”
Tatum and Dewan first met while filming “Step Up,” a romantic dance film released in 2006. Directed by Anne Fletcher, the film also starred Mario Dewar Barrett, who is mononymously known as Mario, and Drew Sidora.
The most recent film Tatum starred in was the action comedy film “Kingsman: The Golden Circle,” in which he played Tequila. Directed by Matthew Vaughn, the film also starred Taron Egerton, Colin Firth and Mark Strong.
As a voice actor, Tatum is set to voice Migo in “Smallfoot” and George Washington in “America: The Motion Picture.” He will voice Superman again in the sequel of “The LEGO Batman Movie,” which is aptly titled “The Lego Movie Sequel.”
In 2019, Tatum will star in “Gambit,” in which he plays the title character. He is also set to star in the musical comedy “Wingmen” opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
On the other hand, Dewan is set to star in “Berlin, I Love You” with Keira Knightley, Helen Mirren and Luke Wilson. Meanwhile, watch Tatum perform “Run the World” by Beyonce here:
