Tarek Suleiman of Syria will no longer be the opponent of Chad “Superman” Hanekom of South Africa at “Brave 13: Europe Evolution” on June 9, 2018. The former has been replaced by Saeed “Shirazi” Younesi of Germany.
Hanekom and Younesi will compete in the middleweight division. Their middleweight bout will be the first bout of the evening.
“Brave 13: Europe Evolution” will mark the debut of Younesi in Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion Brave Combat Federation. He currently holds a professional MMA record of 3 wins and 2 losses.
Younesi is coming out of a loss to Thomas “Saint” Robertsen of Norway. On April 28, 2018, the Norwegian fighter submitted his German opponent via rear-naked choke at “Cage Warriors 93.”
On the other hand, Hanekom is coming out of a loss to Ikram Aliskerov of Russia. On March 2, 2018, the Russian fighter defeated his South African opponent via split decision at “Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises.”
Aliskerov is the first and still the only fighter to defeat Hanekom, who is holding a professional MMA record of 4 wins and 1 loss. The former is still an undefeated fighter with 5 wins, 3 of which were earned in the Brave CF cage.
The last time Hanekom won inside the cage was on August 5, 2017. He submitted Eric Smith of the United States via armbar at “Global Knockout 10.”
“Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises” marked Hanekom’s Brave CF debut. He is looking forward to earning his first win in the promotion by defeating Younesi at “Brave 13: Europe Evolution.”
Taking place at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland, “Brave 13: Europe Evolution” will be the first Brave CF event to be held in Europe. It has been confirmed that British boxing superstar Amir Khan will be one of the guests.
“Brave 13: Europe Evolution” will be headlined by reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman of the Philippines and Frans Mlambo of Ireland. Watch the teaser here:
