Abdul-Kareem “The Pride of Palestine” Al-Selwady, 23, of Amman, Jordan will no longer compete at “Brave 13: Europe Evolution” against Erik “The Last Viking” Carlsson, 25, of Gothenburg, Sweden. Replacing the Jordanian fighter as the Swedish contender’s opponent is Erick Carlos “Indio Brabo” Silva, 29, of Amazonas, Brazil.
Carlsson and Silva will compete in the lightweight division. While the bout marks the third time the Brazilian fighter is competing in the Brave CF cage, it will be his Swedish opponent’s fourth bout in the promotion.
Silva is coming out of a loss to Al-Selwady. On November 17, 2017, the Jordanian fighter defeated his Brazilian opponent via technical knockout via doctor stoppage at “Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions.”
When Silva made his Brave CF debut on April 22, 2017 at “Brave 5: Go for Glory,” he defeated Brian Hooi, 23, of the Netherlands via split decision. Currently, Silva holds a professional mixed martial arts record of 21 wins and 5 losses.
On the other hand, Carlsson currently has 6 wins and 3 losses. When he made his Brave CF debut on December 2, 2016 at “Brave 2: Dynasty,” he was submitted by Jarrah “The Jordanian Lion” Al-Selawe, 26, of Jordan via kimura.
On April 29, 2017, Carlsson redeemed himself by knocking out Gadzhimusa “Deadshot” Gaziev, 25, of Dagestan, Russia via knee to the body at “Brave 6: Kazakhstan.” But at “Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions,” Carlsson lost to Ahmed Amir, 28, of Egypt via split decision.
Taking place at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland on June 9, 2018, “Brave 13: Europe Evolution” will be the first Brave CF event to be held in Europe. It has been confirmed that British boxing superstar Amir Khan, 31, will be one of the guests.
“Brave 13: Europe Evolution” will be headlined by reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, of the Philippines and Frans Mlambo, 27, of Ireland. Watch the teaser here:
