Brazil’s Rodrigo Cavalheiro earns 2nd Brave CF win at ‘Brave 13: Europe Evolution’ in Belfast, Northern Ireland

Fighting out of Paris, France, Karl “Psycho” Amoussou made his Brave Combat Federation debut on June 9, 2018 at “Brave 13: Europe Evolution.” He faced Rodrigo Cavalheiro of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil who was competing in Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion Brave Combat Federation for the second time.

The match between Amoussou and Cavalheiro was the 10th among the 12 bouts of the evening. They competed in the welterweight division, which is currently dominated by reigning Brave CF Welterweight Champion Carlston Harris of Guyana.

The welterweight bout between Amoussou and Cavalheiro ended at 1:08 of Round 2. The French fighter was knocked out by his Brazilian opponent via strikes.

Cavalheiro made his promotional debut on April 13, 2018 at “Brave 11.” He knocked out Alessandro Gambulino of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil via elbows.

By defeating Amoussou at  “Brave 13: Europe Evolution,” Cavalheiro improved his professional MMA record to 22 wins and 7 losses. On the other hand, Amoussou now has 24 wins and 9 losses.

Prior to “Brave 13: Europe Evolution,” Amoussou had 1 win and 1 loss in Cage Warriors Fighting Championship. He knocked out Matt Inman of Manchester, Greater Manchester, England via punches on February 18, 2017 but lost to Dominique “Non-Stop Action Packed” Steele of Cincinnati, Ohio via unanimous decision on November 25, 2017.

Taking place at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Ireland, “Brave 13: Europe Evolution” featured 12 bouts in total. It was the first Brave CF event in Europe.

“Brave 13: Europe Evolution” was graced by several celebrity athletes. Among them were former Bellator MMA fighter Bubba Jenkins, British professional boxer Amir Khan, English MMA fighter Darren “The Gorilla” Till, who competes in the welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship and former UFC Lightweight Champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor, who also trains at SBG Ireland.

In the main event of the evening, McGregor was on the corner of SBG Ireland fighter Frans “The Black Mamba” Mlambo, who lost to reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman of the Philippines via unanimous decision. Meanwhile, here is Cavalheiro right after his victory:
