Representing Team Lakay of Baguio City, Philippines, Kingad maintained an undefeated professional MMA record from late 2014 to early 2017. He defeated his first three opponents in ONE Championship namely Muhamad Haidar of Malaysia, Eugene Toquero, 36, of the Philippines and “The Jungle Cat” Muhammad Aiman, 23, of Malaysia.

On November 10, 2017, Kingad had his first ever title bout when he challenged reigning ONE Flyweight World Champion Adriano “Mikinho” Moraes, 29, of Brazil at “ONE: Legends of the World.” It was unsuccessful for the Team Lakay fighter as he was submitted by the Brazilian champ via rear-naked choke in the first round.

Kingad earned a redemptive win on March 9, 2018 at “ONE: Visions of Victory.” He defeated his Bulgarian opponent Sotir Kichukov via unanimous decision.

At “ONE: Pinnacle of Power,” Kingad faced “The Southern Eagle” Ma Hao Bin. It was the second bout of the evening.

After defeating Ma, Kingad improved his record to 7 wins and 1 loss. On the other hand, Ma’s record downgraded to 10 wins and 3 losses.

Ma was the sixth opponent Kingad faced in ONE Championship. Also, the former was the first Chinese opponent encountered by the Team Lakay fighter in the promotion.

On the other hand, Kingad was the second Filipino opponent Ma faced in ONE Championship. The first one was Toquero, who lost to Ma via armbar submission at “ONE: Hero’s Dream” on November 3, 2017.
