Fu Chang Xin vs Tang De Pan at ‘ONE: Battle for the Heavens’ in Guangzhou, China

ONE Championship has announced the complete fight card for “ONE: Battle for the Heavens,” which will take place at the Guangzhou Tianhe Gymnasium in Guangzhou, China on July 7, 2018. The sixth bout of the evening will be between Chinese fighters Fu Chang Xin, 25, and “The Demolition Man” Tang De Pan, 26.

Fu and Chang will compete in the bantamweight division. Currently reigning as ONE Bantamweight World Champion is Bibiano “The Flash” Fernandes, 38, of Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil.

Hailing from Harbin, Heilongjiang, China, Fu is making his ONE Championship debut at “ONE: Battle for the Heavens.” He currently holds a professional mixed martial arts record of 7 wins and 1 loss.

The only fighter to defeat Fu was Buren “The Beastmaster” Wuliji of Inner Mongolia, China and the other Chinese opponents who lost to Fu were Lei Wang, Kelian Cheng, Xiaoshuai He and Shaoshuai He. The other opponents Fu defeated were Nikita Podlubniy, 22, of Blagoveshchensk, Amur, Russia, Frans “The Black Mamba” Mlambo, 27, of Dublin, Ireland and Jeanderson “The Jackal” Castro, 27, of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil.

On the other hand, Tang is from Changsha, Hunan, China. Fu will be his second Chinese opponent in ONE Championship.

When Tang made his promotional debut on January 23, 2016 at “ONE: Dynasty of Champions,” he knocked out his fellow Chinese contender Zhou Biao, 21, via slam. Tang returned to the cage on December 9, 2017 at “ONE: Warriors of the World” and won via unanimous decision against Asraful “Warrior” Islam of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

However, Tang lost in his most recent bout, his first professional MMA loss. He was submitted by Radeem Rahman, 30, of Singapore via rear-naked choke at “ONE: Grit and Glory” on May 12, 2018.

Tang now holds a  professional MMA record of 2 wins and 1 loss. “ONE: Battle for the Heavens” marks his fourth bout in ONE Championship.

“ONE: Battle for the Heavens” will be headlined by Yodcherry Sityodtong, 19, of Thailand and Kai Ting “Killer Bee” Chuang, 23, of Taiwan, who will compete for the inaugural ONE Super Series Kickboxing Atomweight World Championship. It will be the 10th bout of the evening.
