Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion Brave Combat Federation has confirmed that that its 14th event is scheduled on August 18, 2018. The venue has yet to be announced but among those that are rumored to be the host country of “Brave 14” are South Africa, Spain, Morocco, Brazil and the Philippines.
“Brave 14” marks the first Brave CF event after the promotion made entry to Europe. It is also the first event of the promotion in the second phase of operations for the year 2018.
On June 9, 2018, “Brave 13: Europe Evolution” took place at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland where reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, of Baguio City, Philippines successfully defended his belt against Frans “The Black Mamba” Mlambo, 27, of Dublin, Ireland. It was the first title defense of the young champ from Team Lakay and Filipino fight fans are hoping that his next title defense takes place in the Philippines.
Aside from Northern Ireland, the other host countries of Brave CF events in 2018 were Jordan, Brazil and Indonesia. Currently, there are 220 fighters from 40 countries who are signed with the promotion.
To meet the pace of its growth, Brave CF has intensively expanded its bantamweight, featherweight and lightweight divisions. “Brave 14” will witness the expansion of the broadcast front of the promotion.
At the moment, Brave CF is broadcasting its events via Abu Dhabi Sports, Combate, StarSat, VodaCom, Ran Fighting and Fite TV. The promotion aims to reach 120 countries by the end of 2018 by expanding to more platforms.
Brave CF president Mohammed Shahid has confirmed that events will be hosted in additional destinations around the world throughout 2018. Meanwhile, the Kingdom of Bahrain will host the 2018 Brave International Combat Week, which will feature 2018 IMMAF World Championships.
