Fighting out of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Felipe Efrain, 24, is set to make history at “Brave 14” on August 18, 2018. He will be the first Brazilian mixed martial artist to compete in Morocco.
Taking place at the Omnisports Indoor Club in Tangier, Morocco, “Brave 14” makes Brave Combat Federation the first global MMA promotion to hold an event in Africa. The fight card has eight bouts, which include a bantamweight contest between Efrain and Arnold “Silverback” Quero, 30, of Paris, France.
Recently, Efrain described his excitement regarding Brave CF’s initiative to host an event in Africa. He said, “I have never thought that one day I would be fighting in Africa.”
“Brave Combat Federation has done what no other promotion has done, so I am very excited for that and to create history in Morocco,” Efrain continued. “I am proud to be the first Brazilian to be announced to compete in the fight card at Morocco. I can’t wait to start my comeback against Quero.”
“Brave 14” marks Efrain’s fourth Brave CF bout. In 2017, he won Knockout of The Year in the Bahrain-based MMA promotion for his knockout victory against Nawras Abzakh of Amman, Jordan on November 17, 2017 at “Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions” at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain.
After beating Abzakh, however, Efrain suffered his first loss in Brave CF. He was knocked out by Frans “The Black Mamba” Mlambo, 27, of Dublin, Ireland at “Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises” on March 2, 2018 at the King Hussein Sports City in Amman.
Training out of Chute Boxe Diego Lima, Efrain has fully recovered from his loss at “Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises.” His goal is to bounce back to the title race and eventually face reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, of Baguio City, Philippines.
“I will show everyone I am the top dog in the bantamweight division of Brave,” Efrain declared. “I look forward to putting on a show for the fans why I am the best and to collect a bonus check in the process.”
