On June 9, 2018, Frans “The Black Mamba” Mlambo, 27, of Dublin, Ireland failed to dethrone reigning Brave Combat Federation Bantamweight Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, of the Philippines at “Brave 13: Europe Evolution” at the SSE arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Unimpressed by Mlambo’s performance is his former opponent Felipe Efrain, 24, of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

“I didn’t think that fight was any good to be honest,” Efrain stated. “I remember complaining about the stoppage against Mlambo and I do think the referee had made a mistake.”

Mlambo is the first mixed martial artist to defeat Efrain in Brave CF. On March 2, 2018, the Dublin native knocked out the fighter from Sao Paulo at “Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises” at the King Hussein Sports City in Amman, Jordan.

Befoire losing to Mlambo, Efrain enjoyed a two-bout winning streak. In 2017, the Brazilian fighter won Knockout of The Year in the Bahrain-based MMA promotion for his knockout victory against Nawras Abzakh of Amman, Jordan on November 17, 2017 at “Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions” at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain.

On August 18, 2018, Efrain will have his fourth Brave CF outing. He will compete in the bantamweight division against Arnold “Silverback” Quero, 30, of Paris, France at “Brave 14” at the Omnisports Indoor Club in Tangier, Morocco.

“I don’t think about a rematch against Mlambo right now,” Efrain said. “I want to beat Quero and get my title shot and then think about that later.”

Training out of Chute Boxe Diego Lima, Efrain holds a professional MMA record of 12 wins, 3 losses and 1 No Contest. On the other hand, Quero has 15 wins, 6 losses and 1 No Contest.

Also booked for “Brave 14” is a welterweight bout between Abdoul “Sinistro” Abdouraguimov, 22, of France and Sidney “The All-American Kid” Wheeler, 21, of the United States. In the main event, former UFC fighter Jeremy “JBC” Kennedy, 25, of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada and Danyel Pilo, 30, of Lavagna, Genoa, Italy will compete in the featherweight division.
