Representing Team Lakay of Baguio City, Philippines, Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, is set to defend his Brave Combat Federation Bantamweight Champion title for the second. He will headline “Brave 18” along with his challenger Felipe Efrain, 24, who is representing Chute Boxe Lima of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
“Brave 18” will take place at the Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town, Bahrain on November 16, 2018. The main event marks the reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion’s second title defense and fourth bout in the promotion.
Loman is the youngest champion in Brave CF and the first fighter from the Philippines to defend a championship title in the United Kingdom. He is training under the tutelage of Team Lakay head coach Mark Sangiao.
When Loman made his Brave CF debut at “Brave 1: Bahrain” on September 23, 2016, he defeated Frans “The Black Mamba” Mlambo, 28, of Ireland via unanimous decision. The latter is an International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) gold medalist and a teammate of former UFC Lightweight Champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor, 30.
On November 17, 2017, Loman won Brave CF’s inaugural bantamweight title by defeating Gurdarshan Mangat at “Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions.” The young Filipino champ was crowned by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa in Bahrain and congratulated by His Excellency Alfonso Ver, Ambassador of the Philippines in Bahrain.
On June 9, 2018, Loman retained his title by defeating Mlambo in a rematch at “Brave 13: European Evolution” in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The Team Lakay fighter is now riding a five-bout winning streak.
Loman holds a professional MMA record of 10 wins and 2 losses. Efrain has 13 wins, 3 losses and 1 no-contest.
Brave Combat Federation has initiated the ticket sales for “Brave 18” in association with Virgin Megastores featuring Loman in the first look poster of the promotion. Meanwhile, here is a clip featuring the Team Lakay fighter:
