Egi Rozten, 30, of Jakarta, Indonesia has earned his first ever professional mixed martial arts victory. He was one of the eight Indonesian contenders on the “ONE: Conquest of Heroes” card, which featured 10 MMA bouts and two striking-only matches under ONE Super Series.
On September 22, 2018, ONE Championship returned to Jakarta for “ONE: Conquest of Heroes,” which took place at the Jakarta Convention Center. In the first bout of the evening, Rozten competed in an MMA catch weight of 59kg against Riski “King Kong” Umar, 25, of Ternate, Indonesia.
Referee Yuji Shimada put a stop to the MMA bout between Rozten and Umar at 0:51 of Round 3. The Jakarta native knocked out his opponent from Ternate.
This was a rematch between Rozten and Umar. The two faced each other on January 20, 2018 at “ONE: Kings of Courage” at the Jakarta Convention Center.
At “ONE: Kings of Courage,” Rozten and Umar competed in the flyweight division. The latter knocked out the former at 4:20 of Round 1.
Winning at “ONE: Conquest of Heroes” improved Rozten’s professional MMA record to 1 win and 1 loss. On the other hand, Umar’s record downgraded to 3 wins and 2 losses.
In the co-main event of the evening, Stefer “The Lion” Rahardian, 31, of Jakarta competed against Peng Xue Wen, 22, of Zhongshan, Guangdong, China in the strawweight division. The Chinese contender won via unanimous decision.
The bout between Rozten and Umar was not the only rematch at “ONE: Conquest of Heroes.” In the main event of the evening, Joshua “The Passion” Pacio, 22, of Baguio City, Philippines challenged reigning ONE Strawweight World Champion Yoshitaka “Nobita” Naito, 34, of Matsudo, Chiba, Japan for the second time.
Pacio became the new ONE Strawweight World Champion. After five five-minute rounds, the Filipino contender defeated his Japanese rival via unanimous decision.
