Adrian “Papua Badboy” Mattheis, 25, of Jakarta, Indonesia has earned his sixth victory in ONE Championship. He was one of the eight Indonesian contenders on the “ONE: Conquest of Heroes” card, which featured 10 mixed martial arts bouts and two striking-only matches under ONE Super Series.
On September 22, 2018, ONE Championship returned to Jakarta for “ONE: Conquest of Heroes,” which took place at the Jakarta Convention Center. In the second bout of the evening, Mattheis competed in an MMA bout against Angelo “The Unicorn King” Bimoadji, 21, of Jakarta in the strawweight division.
Referee Yuji Shimada put a stop to the strawweight bout between Mattheis and Bimoadji at 2:41 of Round 1. Mattheis knocked out Bimoadji, who made his professional MMA debut and ONE Championship debut at the same time.
By winning at “ONE: Conquest of Heroes,” Mattheis improved his professional MMA record to 6 wins and 4 losses. On the other hand, Bimoadji now has 0 win and 1 loss.
It was a redemptive win for Mattheis, who was coming out of a loss to Robin Catalan of the Philippines at “ONE: Battle for the Heavens” on July 7, 2018. The first five opponents the Indonesian fighter defeated in ONE Championship were Rustam Hutajulu of Jakarta, Roso Nugroho of Indonesia, Phat “Ice” Soda of Cambodia, Eddey “The Clown” Kalai of Sabah, Malaysia and Ming Qiang Lan of China.
Also fighting out of Jakarta, Stefer “The Lion” Rahardian, 31, competed against Peng Xue Wen, 22, of Zhongshan, Guangdong, China in the strawweight division in the co-main event of the evening. The Chinese contender won via unanimous decision.
In the main event, Joshua “The Passion” Pacio, 22, of the Philippines had his rematch with reigning ONE Strawweight World Champion Yoshitaka “Nobita” Naito, 34, of Japan for the second time. The Filipino challenger dethroned the Japanese champion via unanimous decision.
