BTS boys Jimin, Jungkook injured before ‘The Graham Norton Show’ in London?

Only six of the seven members of the K-Pop boy band BTS performed on the BBC talk show “The Graham Norton Show” in England on October 11, 2018. The only member who was not present was Park Ji Min, 22, who is professionally known as Jimin.

The only six BTS members who performed on “The Graham Norton Show” were Kim Seok Jin, 25, Kim Tae Hyung, 22, Min Yoon Gi, 25, Jung Ho Seok, 24, Kim Nam Joon, 24, and Jeon Jung Kook, 21. Their respective stage names are and Jin, V, Suga, J-Hope, RM and Jungkook.

BTS was formed by Big Hit Entertainment. The South Korean entertainment company took to Twitter to explain why Jimin had to pull out of the special performance on the BBC talk show.

While acute back or neck pain is a common problem, it is treated aggressively oftentimes and inappropriately sometimes, according to St. Luke’s University Health Network clinical integration senior vice president Aldo Carmona, MD. She told Healio, “Frankly, 90% of it should be easily treated with good physical therapy, good short courses of medication and just good education and taking care of people.”

The severe muscle pain in Jimin’s neck and back was not the only health scare for BTS this week. On October 10, 2018, Jungkook suffered an injury to his heel after colliding with floor furnishings while lightly stretching in the waiting room.

Jungkook’s injury was not serious, according to the medical staff, but he was not allowed to perform choreography to avoid further damage. That is why he joined the BTS performance on “The Graham Norton Show” while seated on a stool without choreography.

BTS performed at The O2 Arena in London from October 9-10, 2018, kicking off the third leg of the K-pop boy band’s third worldwide concert tour titled “BTS World Tour: Love Yourself.” As part of the European leg of the tour, the group will perform at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, Netherlands on October 13, 2018, at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, Germany from October 16-17, 2018 and at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris, France from October 19-20, 2018.
