Featuring 13 mixed martial arts matches, “UFC Fight Night 138” took place at the Avenir Centre in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada on October 27, 2018. In the 11th bout of the evening, Misha Cirkunov, 31, of Toronto, Ontario, Canada faced Patrick “Durkin” Cummins, 37, of San Diego, California, United States.

Cirkunov was born in Riga, Latvian Soviet Socialist Republic, Soviet Union, which is now Latvia. A black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he trains at Xtreme Couture Mixed Martial Arts.

Before becoming an MMA fighter, Cirkunov was a successful judoka. “UFC Fight Night 138” marked his seventh UFC bout.

Cummins was born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, United States. He is representing Kings MMA.

While at Penn State University, Cummins was a college wrestler. UFC Fight Night 138″ marked his 12th UFC bout.

Fight Results 

Cirkunov and Cummins competed in the light heavyweight division at “UFC Fight Night 138.” Currently reigning as the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion is Daniel “DC” Cormier, 39, of San Jose, California, United States.

Referee Yves Lavigne put a stop to the light heavyweight contest between Cirkunov and Cummins  at 2:40 of Round 1. The Latvian-Canadian contender submitted his American opponent via arm-triangle choke.

Winning at “UFC Fight Night 138” improved Cirkunov’s professional MMA record to 13 wins and 4 losses. On the other hand, losing to the Latvian-Canadian fighter downgraded Cummins’ record to 10 wins and 5 losses.

“UFC Fight Night 138” Main Events

In the co-main event, Michael “The Menace” Johnson of Boca Raton, Florida, United States and Artem “The Russian Hammer” Lobov of Dublin, Ireland competed in a catch weight of 147 lbs. After three five-minute rounds, the American contender defeated his Russian-Irish opponent via unanimous decision.

In the main event, Volkan “No Time” Oezdemir of Fribourg, Switzerland and Anthony “Lionheart” Smith of Omaha, Nebraska, United States competed in the light heavyweight division. The American contender submitted his Swiss opponent via rear-naked choke at 4:26 of Round 3.
