“Riverdale” Season 3 episode 9 titled “Chapter Forty-Four: No Exit” will air on The CW on January 16, 2019. Fans of the teen drama series are eager to learn more about the relationship status of Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) and Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes).
“Chapter Forty-Four: No Exit” was written by Arabella Anderson and directed by Jeff Hunt. In the episode, Archie will be forced to face his demons.
On the other hand, Veronica will lead the charge against Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos) with Riverdale in disarray following her father’s takeover. Also, Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) will confront a group of desperate Serpents.
Recently, “Riverdale” executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa told TV Line that Archie and Veronica have not broken up “story-wise.” The EP said, “That has not happened yet.”
“They did have that tearful phone call but a lot of that was circumstantial,” Aguirre-Sacasa added. “None of that really had to do with their feelings for each other so in my mind, even though they had that tearful goodbye, and it’s going to take some figuring out, if and when they come back together. In my mind, they’re not yet broken up.”
Written by James DeWille and directed by John Kretchmer, “Riverdale” Season 3 episode 8 titled “Chapter Forty-Three: Outbreak” showed how the whole town was put under quarantine. Jughead was stranded outside the city limits and Archie head to the Canadian border alone in the episode that aired on December 12, 2018.
Aguirre-Sacasa has confirmed that there will be a time jump when “Riverdale” Season 3 returns. He added that there will be different pairings and viewers will see how besieged the town will be.
“When we come back, it’s definitely a changed Riverdale,” Digital Spy quoted Aguirre-Sacasa as saying. “It’s a very changed Riverdale.”
