Abdul-Kareem “Pride of Palestine” Al-Selwady, 23, of Jordan is not only a fierce fighter but also a great commentator. Recently, the reigning Brave Combat Federation Lightweight Champion shared his predictions for the main event of “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors.”
Al-Selwady was praised for his commentary duties at “Brave 21” at the King Abdullah Sports City Indoor Sports Hall in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on December 28, 2018. The Jordanian mixed martial artist was keen to get his opinion on who has the advantage coming into the first Brave CF show in 2019.
Marking Brave CF’s debut in the Philippines, “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors” is scheduled on March 15, 2019 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. In the main event, former Brave CF Featherweight Champion Elias “Smile” Boudegzdame, 25, of France will challenge reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, of the Philippines.
“This is going to be an explosive fight,” Al-Selwady said. “Elias has really good combinations on his stand-up, really slick submissions on the ground. Stephen has good wrestling and cardio, hard punches and even though he’s at bantamweight for a while, I think he’s the bigger guy, more physically strong but Elias is very slick, very quick.”
“Brave 22: Storm of Warriors” promises to be groundbreaking with the finest fighters of the Philippines going against Brave CF’s international stars. The main event marks Loman’s third title defense.
“If I had to pick, I’d say Elias wins this fight,” Al-Selwady declared. “He also has great cardio and he’s very efficient with his movements. Loman is strong but can be slow with his single punches.”
Training out of Team Lakay in Baguio City, Philippines, Loman has been competing professionally since 2012. He was one of the fighters who competed during the inaugural event of Brave CF, which took place in the MMA promotion’s home country Bahrain on September 23, 2016.
Loman has been reigning as the Brave CF Bantamweight Champion since November 17, 2017 while Al-Selwady has been reigning as the Brave CF Lightweight Champion since November 16, 2018. Meanwhile, here is a clip featuring the Team Lakay athlete and his French-Algerian opponent:
