Featuring nine MMA bouts, “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors” took place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines on March 15, 2019. In the second bout of the evening, Ayyad faced Jason “Python” Vergara, 22, of the Philippines in the bantamweight division.

Early on, Ayyad locked in a triangle choke. Referee Thomas Fan put a stop to the contest after 1 minute and 31 seconds in the first round when the Bahraini contender submitted Vergara via triangle choke.

Winning at “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors” improved Ayyad’s professional MMA record to 3 wins and 2 losses. Likewise, Vergara now has 3 wins and 2 losses.

Born in Manama on November 10, 1993, Ayyad has been competing professionally since 2014. “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors” marked his fourth Brave CF bout.

Vergara made his Brave CF debut at “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors.” He was the third Filipino opponent faced by Ayyad in the promotion.

On April 11, 2018, Ayyad made his Brave CF debut at “Brave 12: KHK Legacy” at Balai Sarbini in Jakarta, Indonesia. He knocked out Jomar Pa-ac, 21, who is training out of Team Lakay in Baguio City, Philippines.

On September 21, 2018, Ayyad faced Pa-ac’s Team Lakay teammate Jon Chris “Happy Feet” Corton, 26, at “Brave 16” at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The Filipino contender won via unanimous decision.

On November 16, 2018, Ayyad redeemed himself at “Brave 18” at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Manama. He knocked out “The Rush” Al Hassan Mohamed Abo Ali, 27, of Cairo, Egypt.

While Vergara was one of the 11 Filipino fighters on the “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors” card, Ayyad was the sole representative of Bahrain. The Bahraini contender is now riding a two-bout winning streak.
