On April 16, 2019, reigning Brave Combat Federation Welterweight Champion Jarrah “The Jordanian Lion” Al-Selawe, 26, of Jordan was at MAT05 in Amman, Jordan when Abdoul “Sinistro” Abdouraguimov, 23, of France made a surprise appearance. The French-Russian submission machine will challenge the Jordanian champ in the main event of “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” at the Martyr Rashid Al-Ziyoud Hall Boxing Arena in Amman, Jordan on April 19, 2019.

At the time, Al-Selawe was doing a special training session for his fans at MAT05, a gym that belongs to his coach Samy AlJamal. Abdouraguimov heard about the event and wanted to personally check on his opponent’s workout so he headed to the gym unannounced.

Al-Selawe did not like seeing Abdouraguimov at MAT05. Chaos inevitably ensued with the duo nearly coming to blows.

Upon Abdouraguimov’s arrival, he was booed by Al-Selawe’s fans. The French-Russian fighter remained calm and talked about his expectations for the “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” main event with Carlos Kremer, the roaring voice of Brave CF who was hosting the event.

“I’m very happy to be here in Jordan,” Abdouraguimov said. “I have nothing special to say, only that I hope everyone here watches the fight. Hopefully, we’re going to put on a show.”

On Al-Selawe’s turn to talk, he preferred to focus on sending a message to his fans. He said, “This is a team effort.”

“I couldn’t do what I do without my coaches,” Al-Selawe continued. “I thank everyone for the support and Friday will be an amazing day for everyone who supports me. We will have a big surprise for everyone, something that we have been working on a lot.”

“Abdoul dropping by was a nice surprise,” the reigning Brave CF Welterweight Champion continued. “But we’re going to give you a huge spectacle on fight night.”

While talking to Kremer, Al-Selawe held back from talking trash directly to Abdouraguimov but when the “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” faced off, the defending champion was not thrilled. When Al-Selawe came close to Abdouraguimov’s face, the latter said, “Not that close.”

In response, Al-Selawe shoved Abdouraguimov but they were separated before their rift escalated further. Meanwhile, here is a recap of the “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” open workout:
