[PHOTOS] ‘Brave 23: Pride and Honor’ open workout features Jarrah Al-Selawe, Abdoul Abdouraguimov, Jose Torres

Brave Combat Federation held the “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” open workout at the Abdali Mall in Amman, Jordan on April 17, 2019. It was deemed a success as Jordanian fans caught a glimpse of their fighting heroes including reigning Brave CF Welterweight Champion Jarrah “The Jordanian Lion” Al-Selawe, 26, of Jordan, Abdoul “Sinistro” Abdouraguimov, 23, of France and Jose “Shorty” Torres, 26, of the United States.

Al-Selawe will make the first title defense of his welterweight world title when he takes on Abdouraguimov, the undefeated challenger, in the main event of at “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” on April 19, 2019 at the Martyr Rashid Al-Ziyoud Hall Boxing Arena in Amman. The defending champion became the first world champion from Jordan.

During the open workout, which was hosted by Carlos Kremer, Al-Selawe seemed to be enjoying the spotlight as he made his way to the mats as he put on a hard workout for the fans, including hitting pads and grappling. On the other hand, Abdouraguimov chose to showcase his world-class grappling, starting off with a unique set of repetitions for warm-ups before drilling takedowns with his coaches.

Abdouraguimov called to the stage a young fan to hit pads with him. At this point, the boos subsided and timid applause came from the members of crowd who are rooting for Al-Selawe.

Meanwhile, Torres shadow boxed for a few minutes and made sure to thank the Jordanian fans for coming to the pre-fight event. He is set to compete in the flyweight division at “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” against Amir “The Prince” Albazi, 25, of Sweden, who is undefeated like Abdouraguimov.

“Brave 23: Pride and Honor” will be headlined by three title fights. Aside from the match between Al-Selawe and Abdouraguimov, Luan “Miau” Santiago, 24, of Brazil will challenge Brave CF Lightweight Champion Abdul-Kareem “Pride of Palestine” Al-Selwady, 23, of Jordan while Mounir “The Sniper” Lazzez, 31, of Tunisia and Eldar “Khan” Eldarov, 27, of Bahrain will compete for the inaugural Brave CF Super Lightweight Championship title.
