Fighting out of Nantes, France, undefeated mixed martial artist Abdoul “The Conqueror” Abdouraguimov, 23, has been crowned the new Brave Combat Federation Welterweight Champion. It was his third victory in the Bahrain-based MMA promotion.

Originally from Dagestan, Russia, Abdouraguimov represented France at “Brave 23: Pride and Honor.” He was one of the nine fighters on the fight card who are still undefeated after the fight night.

Featuring 12 MMA matches, which included three title bouts, “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” took place at the Martyr Rashid Al-Ziyoud Hall Boxing Arena in Amman, Jordan. In the main event of the evening, Abdouraguimov challenged then reigning Brave CF Welterweight Champion Jarrah “The Jordanian Lion” Al-Selawe, 26, of Jordan.

Abdouraguimov dominated the very first round. He almost finished the fight in the first 10 minutes but he got exhausted and allowed the defending champion to take over.

The second round was very technical. Abdouraguimov had the mount but Al-Selawe got back up and landed significant low kicks.

In the third round, the challenger showcased his striking prowess while the defending champion fought back with his grappling power.

A point was deducted from Al-Selawe in the fourth round for striking the back of Abdouraguimov’s head. After five five-minute rounds, the bout was left in the hands of the judges.

In the end, the referee raised the hand of Abdouraguimov. The French-Russian challenger was declared the winner via unanimous decision.

Winning at “Brave 23: Pride and Honor” improved Abdouraguimov’s professional MMA record to 10 wins, 0 loss, 0 draw and 1 No Contest. On the other hand, Al-Selawe now has 13 wins and 3 losses.

While Al-Selawe was one of the five hometown heroes at “Brave 23: Pride and Honor,” Abdouraguimov solely represented France. Bahrain, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, England, Iraq, Lebanon, Morocco, Russia, South Africa, Sweden, Tunisia, the United States and Wales were also represented.

Al-Selawe made his successful professional MMA debut in 2013 and joined Brave CF in 2016. Abdouraguimov made his successful professional MMA debut in 2016 and joined Brave CF in 2018.

“Brave 23: Pride and Honor” marked Abdouraguimov’s third Brave CF bout. It was Al-Selawe’s seventh outing in the promotion.
