Training out of Phenix Muay Thai Paris and Venum Training Camp Thailand, Samy “AK47” Sana, 30, of France was one of the winners at “ONE: Enter the Dragon.” It was his second victory in ONE Championship’s striking-only league ONE Super Series.

Featuring 10 mixed martial arts matches and six ONE Super Series contests, which were six kickboxing bouts, “ONE: Enter the Dragon” was the Singapore-based martial arts organization’s second event in 2019 that took place in Singapore. In the 13th bout of the evening, Sana fought “The Boxing Compu” Yodsanklai IWE Fairtex, 33, of Thailand in the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix with Elias Dolaptsis as the referee.

In the opening round, Sana was aggressive and had Yodsanklai in some trouble. The Thai legend bounced back in the second round, putting together better combinations and getting some good shots in on his taller opponent.

It was a back-and-forth affair in the final round but after three three-minute rounds, the bout was left in the hands of the judges. In the end, Dolaptsis raised the hand of Sana, who was declared the winner via unanimous decision.

Winning at “ONE: Enter the Dragon” improved the professional kickboxing and Muay Thai record of Sana to 134 wins, 9 losses and 1 draw. On the other hand, Yodsanklai now has 202 wins, 72 losses and 4 draws.

Yodsanklai is training out of Fairtex Gym. Among the prestigious titles he holds are three Lumpinee Stadium World Championships, two Lion Fight World Championships, two WMC World Championships and a WBC World Title.

Sana was 12 years old when he started his training in Muay Thai. He is of French and Algerian descent.

While Yodsaklai was one of the five representatives of Thailand at “ONE: Enter the Dragon,” Sana solely represented France. Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Moldova, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Turkey, Ukraine and the United States were also represented.

In the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix semi-final, Sana will face Dzhabar “Genghis Khan” Askerov, 33, of Russia. The Russian kickboxer defeated Enriko “The Hurricane” Kehl, 27, of Germany in the quarter-finals at “ONE: Enter the Dragon.”
