Allstars’ Ilia Topuria joins Brave CF; Undefeated MMA fighter to challenge Team Lakay’s Stephen Loman?

Representing Georgia and Spain, undefeated mixed martial artist Ilia Topuria, 22, is the recent athlete signed by  Brave Combat Federation. He competes in the bantamweight division so one of the toughest opponent he may face in the Bahrain-based MMA promotion is reigning Brave CF Bantamweight World Champion Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 23, of the Philippines.

Training out of the Team Lakay gym in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines, Loman has been reigning as the Brave CF Bantamweight World Champion since November 17, 2017. He currently holds a professional MMA record of 12 wins and 2 losses.

On the other hand, Topuria has 6 wins and 0 loss. He trains out of Allstars Training Center in Stockholm, Sweden along with Brave CF stars Guram Kutateladze, 26, of Georgia and Khamzat “Borz” Chimaev, 24, of Stockholm and UFC fighters Alexander “The Mauler” Gustafsson, 32, of Stockholm and Ilir “The Sledgehammer” Latifi, 35, of Malmo, Sweden.

“Ilia is the latest in a string of incredible talents coming out of Allstars in Sweden,” Brave CF athlete relations department head Yousef Nasser stated. “Along with Guram and Khamzat, Allstars have a real chance of threatening for the bantamweight, lightweight and middleweight titles.”

The first fight of Topuria in Brave CF is still in the works. The promotion has yet to announce the next challenger of Loman, as well.

The undefeated Georgian-Spanish MMA fighter was born in Halle Westfalen, Germany. He has been competing professionally since 2015 and all of his victories in his professional career came via submission finishes.

Only one of Topuria’s six wins reached the second round. Five out of his six previous opponents tapped out within the first five minutes.

Before joining Brave CF, Topuria competed in Mix Fight Events, Cage MMA Finland and Cage Warriors Fighting Championship. On April 28, 2018, Topuria submitted Mika Hamalainen, 29, of Helsinki, Finland via mounted guillotine choke at “Cage 43” at the Cultural Centre in Helsinki.

On June 16, 2018, Topuria submitted Brian Bouland, 33, of Brussels, Belgium via anaconda choke at “Cage Warriors 94” at the Lotto Arena in Antwerp, Belgium. Meanwhile, here is a video featuring the undefeated Allstars Training Center athlete:
