Cian Cowley vs Maciej Gierzewski at ‘Brave 24: London’ in London, England

Cian “The Warrior” Cowley, 25, of Dublin, Ireland will face Maciej “MagicMan” Gierzewski, 32, of Poland and Northern Ireland at “Brave 24: London,” which marks the first Brave Combat Federation event to take place in London, England. They will compete in the lightweight division and it will be the co-main event of the evening.

Taking place at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park inside the Copper Box Arena in London on July 25, 2019, “Brave 24: London” will be headlined by  reigning Brave CF Featherweight World Champion Bubba “Bad Man” Jenkins, 31, of California, United States and his challenger Lucas “Mineiro” Martins, 30, of Brazil. In the co-main event, Cowley and Gierzewski will battle it out in the lightweight division.

Gierzewski is making his Brave CF at “Brave 24: London.” Before joining the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion, he competed in Clan Wars MMA, Cage Warrios and Bellator MMA, among others.

Currently, Gierzewski holds a professional MMA record of 5 wins and 4 losses. On the other hand, Cowley now has 2 wins and 2 losses.

Cowley will look to rebound from his first Brave CF loss at the hands of John Brewin in a close decision back at “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors” on March 15, 2019 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines. The defeat broke a two-win streak for the Irish striker, who started off his career with Brave CF beating Daniel Olejniczak and Hardeep Rai both by technical knockout.

Training out of Straight Blast Gym Ireland in Dublin, Cowley is teammates with MMA superstar Conor McGregor and other standouts such as Dillon Danis and Gunnar Nelson and has an extensive background in Muay Thai and kickboxing. Before transitioning to professional MMA, Cowley was a multiple-time national champion in Muay Thai and won a bronze medal at the IMMAF Amateur world championships in 2016.

Meanwhile, Gierzewski is from Poland but trains out of IFS Northern Ireland in Belfast, Northern Ireland. In his most recent bout, which was at “Wieczór Walk SWD 4” at the Hala Suche Stawy in Kraków, Poland on May 25, 2019.
