Gabriel “Fly” Miranda, 29, of Curitiba, Parana, Brazil wants to go back to the win column in his next bout and he has a date and opponent set. He will take on Jon “The Problem” Zarate of Medellin, Colombia at “Brave 26,” the first Brave Combat Federation event to take place in Bogota, Colombia.

Brave CF will hold “Brave 26” at Coliseo Hernan Jaramillo in Salitre, Bogota. In the co-main event of the evening, Miranda and Zarate will battle it out in the lightweight division.

Miranda has two bouts for Brave CF to date. In his promotional debut at “Brave 15” in Bucaramanga, Colombia on September 7, 2018, he submitted Fernando “Nando” Noriega of Peru via guillotine choke.

On December 28, 2018, Miranda competed at “Brave 21” in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He lost via unanimous decision Akhmed Magomedov of Dagestan, Russia.

A submission specialist and a jiu-jitsu black belt, Miranda has finished all of his 13 professional victories, submitting his opponents in 12 of those 13 wins. Aside from a surging professional career, he is also a jiu-jitsu teacher and a family man.

The Curitiba native is one of the main sparring partners for reigning Brave CF Lightweight World Champion Luan “Miau” Santiago, 24, of Curitiba at the world-famous CM System gym in Curitiba.

A self-proclaimed most hated fighter in Colombia, Miranda looks forward to bouncing back from his loss to Magomedov. The Brazilian fighter’s opponent at “Brave 26” is the subject of the VICE documentary “Fightland.”

Training out of Bareknuckle MMA Gym in Bogota, Zarate is known for his no-nonsense style and willingness to go toe-to-toe with his opponents. He was born in Medellin but he spent most of his formative years in Brooklyn, New York, United States.

“Brave 26” is promoted in partnership with South American standout promotion Latin Fighter Championship. It will be headlined by Guram Kutateladze, 27, of Georgia and Sweden and Felipe Silva, 35, of Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Like Miranda and Zarate, Kutateladze and Silva will compete in the lightweight division. Meanwhile, here is a clip featuring Miranda and Magomedov:
