Bi Nguyen vs Puja Tomar in ONE Super Series at ‘ONE: Immortal Triumph’ in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

Vietnamese-American mixed martial artist Bi “Killer Bee” Nguyen, 29, is one of the hometown heroes competing at “ONE: Immortal Triumph” on September 6, 2019. She will face an Indian opponent in ONE Championship’s striking-only league ONE Super Series.

ONE Championship will hold “ONE: Immortal Triumph” at the Phu Tho Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. It marks the promotion’s first ever event to take place in the country.

“ONE: Immortal Triumph” will only feature Muay Thai and kickboxing bouts making it ONE Championship’s first ever fight card that is purely ONE Super Series. Nguyen will compete in a Muay Thai match against Puja “The Cyclone” Tomar, 25, of India.

Both Nguyen and Tomar will make their respective ONE Super Series debuts at “ONE: Immortal Triumph.” It will be the Vietnamese-American contender’s third bout in ONE Championship and the Indian fighter’s fourth outing in the promotion.

Born in Vietnam, Nguyen was eight years old, she moved from Vietnam to Oakland, California, USA with her parents and seven siblings. She currently lives in Houston, Texas, United States.

Nguyen appeared as a contestant in “Survivor: David vs Goliath,” the 37th season of the CBS reality series “Survivor.” Training out of Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket, Thailand, she holds a professional MMA record of 5 wins and 4 losses.

Puja Tomar

Tomar resides in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India and trains out of Crossfit Fitness Academy in Delhi, India. She is a multiple-time Indian National wushu champion.

Competing professionally since 2013, Tomar fought first in Super Fight League before joining ONE Championship. She holds a professional MMA record of 4 wins and 3 losses.

“ONE: Immortal Triumph”

In the main event of “ONE: Immortal Triumph,” ONE Super Series debutante Brice Delval, 20, of France will challenge reigning ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao, 32, of Thailand. In the co-main event, Saemapetch Fairtex, 24, of Thailand and Rafi Bohic, 28, of France will compete in a Muay Thai contest in the bantamweight division.
