Berlin, Germany’s Miriam Rautert to compete in Miss Universe 2019

Miriam Rautert, 23, will represent Germany in Miss Universe 2019. She is a model of German and Trinidadian descent.

Representing Berlin, Germany, Rautert was crowned Miss Universe Germany 2019 on September 1, 2019. She bested nine other finalists.

Runner-up to Rautert as Miss Universe Germany is Christine Annabelle Keller. Alena Krempl is second runner-up.

Rautert holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and corporate communication. She loves modelling, sports, writing and eating out.

The German-Trinidadian model was crowned by Miss Universe Germany 2018 Celine Willers, 26, of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The latter was unplaced in Miss Universe 2018 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on December 17, 2018.

Born in Trinidad and Tobago on March 21, 1996, Rautert was only 7 years old when she entered the modelling industry. When she was 15, she moved from Viersen, Germany to Hagen, Germany, where her parents and three close friends currently live.

Oftentimes, Rautert visits her family in Hagen. She told Westfalenpost that keeping contact with her family and friends is very important to her.

Eventually, Rautert studied at a private university in Iserlohn, Märkischer Kreis, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. In 2018, she moved to Berlin for the sixth semester.

If Rautert wins Miss Universe 2019, she will be the second titleholder of the international beauty pageant from her country. Germany’s first and still only Miss Universe is Marlene Schidt, 81, who was crowned in 1961.

The last time Germany placed in Miss Universe was in 2002. Natascha Börger of Hamburg, Germany made it to the Top 10 at the 51st edition of Miss Universe, which was held in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The reigning Miss Universe 2018 is Catriona Gray, 25, of the Philippines. She is the fourth Miss Universe from her country and 67th woman to hold the title.

  1. Hi this Miss makes the competition spicy. Trinidad means limbo and cylypso. It is ages ago that Mona Baptiste from Trinidad was a celebraty in Germany. Now is the time again. “Trinidad and Tobago is a boat, we are sailing on sink or float.”
