Stephen “The Sniper” Loman, 24, of Team Lakay in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines is the Brave Combat Federation champion with the most successful title defenses. The recent athlete in the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion who wants to challenge the Filipino champ is Matheus Nicolau, 26, of Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
Loman has successfully defended his title as the reigning Brave CF Bantamweight Champion three times. He became the inaugural champion of the promotion’s division by defeating Gurdarshan “Saint Lion” Mangat, 32, at “Brave 9: The Kingdom of Champions” at the Khalifa Sports City Arena in Isa Town, Bahrain on November 17, 2017.
On June 9, 2018, Loman retained his title by defeating Frans “The Black Mamba” Mlambo, 28, of Ireland in a rematch at “Brave 13: European Evolution” in Belfast, Northern Ireland. On November 16, 2018, Felipe Efrain, 24, of Brazil failed to dethrone Loman at “Brave 18: Bahrain” at the Khalifa Sports City Arena.
On March 15, 2019, Loman knocked out his challenger Elias “Smile” Boudegzdame, 25, of France at “Brave 22: Storm of Warriors.” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
Boudegzdame was the last fighter to challenge Loman. Since then, the Team Lakay fighter has been called out by different athletes.
After making a successful Brave CF debut at “Brave 24″ in London, England on July 25, 2019, Cameron “Killa Cam” Else, 28, of England announced his interest in facing Loman. The English fighter said it was “only fair” because he had knocked out Aidan James, 23, of Wales “who was supposed to fight for the title next.”
When Nicolau made his successful Brave CF debut at “Brave 25” at the Arena Minas Tênis Clube in Belo Horizonte on August 30, 2019, he announced that he was eyeing for a title shot. He said, “I have a lot of respect for Loman.”
“He has a big win streak going but I believe I have all the weapons to cause him problems,” Nicolau said of the reigning Brave CF Bantamweight World Champion. “I know I can give him the biggest test and bring questions that he has yet to answer inside the Brave arena. I’m confident I can have my hand raised if we fight.”
Meanwhile, Loman has yet to respond to the athletes calling him out. Here is a clip featuring the Team Lakay fighter in an open workout:
